GDPS Editor: Private Servers and Android Build Checks

What Does GDPS Editor Mean?

GDPS is a community term for a Geometry Dash private-server project. Different projects may provide their own server, client, accounts, level database or editor changes. “GDPS Editor 2.2 APK” does not identify one universal official package; check the specific project’s documentation.

GDPS Features Vary by Project

Server Connection vs. Server Hosting

A client may connect to a private level database. Hosting a server is a separate task that depends on the project’s software, infrastructure and documentation; installing an APK does not automatically create a server.

Custom-Level Rules and Limits

A private server may offer its own level library and upload rules. Check its limits, moderation and storage policy. “Unlimited levels” is not a universal GDPS feature.

Editor Version and Compatibility

Editor tools depend on the client build and its supported game version. Confirm which objects, triggers and level formats it supports before moving your work between an official client and a private server.

Separate Accounts and Progress

Private-server progress may be separate from the official game. Check the project’s account and moderation rules, and do not assume that testing there guarantees freedom from restrictions elsewhere.

Custom Leaderboards

Some projects maintain their own accounts and leaderboards. Check registration, data handling and account recovery before signing up. Do not reuse a password from an unrelated service.

Official Geometry Dash, GDPS Clients and Mods

These labels describe different distribution and server choices. A filename or “original” label alone does not establish who published the package or which service it uses.

Official Game

RobTop publishes the official game through its store listings. Use Geometry Dash on Google Play for the official Android route; this guide does not authenticate separately hosted copies.

GDPS Editor APK

A GDPS client may connect to a project-specific server with a separate database. Features and hosting options depend on that project; accounts and levels may not transfer to the official game.

Mod APK

A modified build changes gameplay or other behavior. A mod menu and a private-server client are not interchangeable terms. Review the mod-menu checklist for build-specific claims.

Before Installing a GDPS Editor APK

Identify the exact GDPS project and its documented client before downloading. This page does not provide a tested package, universal installer or certified download. Use the checks below to decide whether the project supplies enough information.

Android Project Checklist

Check source, compatibility, backup and account rules

1

Identify the project and maintainer

Find the project’s documentation and release page. Record the maintainer, client version and update date. A generic download button cannot prove that the file belongs to the server you want to join.

2

Confirm your progress backup

Save official-game progress successfully and keep your working installation. Check whether the new client uses a separate package name; do not uninstall an existing game merely to follow a generic guide.

3

Review the exact package

Check the Android requirement, architecture, package name, signature and any published hash. Use the package-verification checklist and investigate missing or contradictory release details.

4

Use the documented installation method

Follow instructions for that specific client. Android may require permission for the browser or file manager to install unknown apps. Keep Play Protect enabled and review warnings and requested access.

5

Check the server connection

Some clients use one configured server; others may expose different connection options. Do not assume a universal server-selection screen. Confirm the documented server and test with a nonessential level first.

6

Read account and update rules

Check account registration, recovery, upload limits and update compatibility. Keep local copies of important editor work. Use the Android guide if you want the official game instead of a private-server client.
